Although we typically do the usual things in La Jornada such as distributing food and bagging them, we face new experiences and this includes encountering new people who have similar passions. Today will be NYCYVS' last event (of 2021). But we'll definitely resume volunteering next year as soon as possible.

To provide those in need with a wonderful warm thanksgiving, so many nonprofits cluster at NY Hall of Science distributing food, clothes, and flyers consisting of ways to receive help. We helped bagged and distributed food to hundred of people. But today, we've also seen more stuff, such as thousands of people as well as seeing the governor making her own speech and approving a bill in person! Some of us even got a picture taken with the manager of La Jornada as well 🤩! Today was a blast for everyone and if it isn't its definitely a special day.

11/11/2021: La Jornada on Veterans Day
11/06/2021: La Jornada!
Our first event at La Jornada, the biggest food pantry in Queens that has helped so many people during the COVID pandemic. We bagged and packed over 300 bags of food in less than 2 hours, which was awesome. Thanks to Karen Shan for the some of the wonderful photos here!
10/31/2021: HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🍬
Our first time volunteering took place at Kehilat Food Pantry, where we sort out rotten food and distribute vegetables, fruits, dairy and snacks to people. It was something new for some of us -I'm sure- and it was lots of fun.
