The sole record of our adventures

We began at La Jornada, and from there, we established connections and partnerships with many other nonprofits! Each brings us a whole different valuable experience. We love helping Friends of Crocheron maintain Crocheron Park and it was fun learning various kinds of weeds and flowers while planting, weeding, or watering them. Queens Botanical Gardens offered us the opportunity to volunteer at their amazing activities booth and festivals such as the Compost Pa Looza. We even helped clean up shores; We cleaned up Powell Cove Park with Coastal Preservation Network, and that was pretty fun as well!

Our organization has grown quite significantly throughout the year, so we ended up leading our own initiatives! Inspired by many nonprofits, we thought of cleaning up parks ourselves! We cleaned up Kissena, Crocheron and Corona Park, and all of the events turned out successful. Can't wait to see what 2023 will offer. We anticipate more volunteering events with different nonprofits with the addition of leading initiatives besides cleaninup parks. But we'll see!

The Embark - 2021

We started organizing volunteering events on the Halloween of 2021 and look how it turned out! Helping out our local food pantries - La Jornada and Kehilat Sephardim- allowed us to make new memories, experience something we never have experienced before, and brought together volunteers! Many of us who weren't friends with each other, became friends or even close buddies!

We hope that 2022 we'll be able to go beyonds the region of volunteering at food pantries; perhaps we'll organize varied events with other nonprofits that can provide each of our volunteer different but enriching experiences.
